What a week it’s been for Langney Wanderers, big new sponsors coming in and a 3-year development plan put in place.
That's not all, there have been some big changes on the playing front as well with the following players agreeing to come and join our push up the league.
The club would like to welcome:
Oshea Hutchinson joins us from Bostik South side East Grinstead Town. Oshea was a 2 year scholar at Sheffield Utd. An action-packed winger who has played 50 plus games in the Bostik South. Oshea has pace, power and an superb technical ability. He will be a real asset to the club.
Freddie Yao is a strong and technically gifted midfielder who also joins us from Bostik South side East Grinstead Town. A commanding midfielder who was previously at Burnley & Stoke Academies.
Sonny Dullaway comes in until the end of the season on-loan from Hastings Town and will provide the ammo for the forwards. A local lad who’s ability on the ball is frightening, a tremendous talent and one for the future.
Sam Hart, he comes to us after having a short spell out of the game. A robust right back who’s ability to defend is first class, and we also hear he likes to sing......
We are still working on a couple of other deals as well which we will hopefully announce next week all being good.
Jack Meeres is a week or two away after a nasty groin injury. We are yet to see the best of Jack but no doubt when fit he will add some additional quality to our back line. Tyler Capon & Paul Rogers are also both back after some time out.
That’s the in’s done but Steve Sargent has left after agreeing a 1 year deal with Burgess Hill.
Assistant manager Bem Burns had this to say:
“It’s been a crazy week that’s for sure, over the weekend myself and Ken put together a list of about 14 players that we thought would add some additional quality. My phone bill is going to be a big one this month for sure but I have to say a big thank you to managers Matt Longhurst at EG Town and Chris Agutter at Hastings who both went out there way to help. Myself and Ken feel that we now have the required quality to make a beeline to middle table safety this year but also give us a strong platform for next season.
I look at the players we have managed to bring in and I can’t help but think most Bostik sides would be pretty happy with those signings. The players are hungry to prove themselves and all trained last night. Sonny came straight in and nutmegged 3 players so he will certainly be a fans favourite. It feels like the dark cloud has lifted and we are in for some sunny days”
